If ice packs and cucumber masks don’t work for you, try these two methods:
Reduce and exterminate: Gently press an ice cube over the pimple to reduce inflammation then try a spot treatment that has benzoyl peroxide to dry it out and kill the bacteria. You can also try crushing an asprin tablet into a paste with water and dab on – the salicylic acid in it helps treat the zit.
Squeeze if you’re left with no choice: If you have to squeeze, avoid using your hands. Apply a warm compress for five to 10 minutes then take two Q-tips and use gentle, even pressure. Then dab dry and apply some antibiotic ointment.
When it comes to concealing
Pick a thick formula that is quite dry and use a very small, pointy concealer brush to cover it from all angles. Don’t use a makeup brush so that you can get into all the crevices that your finger cannot. Don’t brush across but instead dab the concealer onto the affected area. To blend, use a yellow based concealer to counteract redness and avoid choosing a concealer that is lighter than your skin.
